Plage de la Base Nature (Fréjus)

Urban then Natural at its west extremity where the river Argens flows to the sea.Large but likely busy parking (car park) because La Base Nature (Fréjus) is basically a urge park (decommissioned Naval Air Station) where people gather for bicycling, inline skating or walking on the runway 300m behind the beach.
If you are interested in aviation history, take a look at the bust of Rolland Garros (first non-stop flight across the Mediterranean on 23 September 1913) beside The Étendard IVM carrier-based jet strike fighter close to the main entrance gate of this sports complex. By the way, if sea water does not suit, you still can find an alternative in the nice and bright swimming pool (closed on Sunday) right here with jacuzzi and overview on the see !
