Plage du Débarquement (Le Dramont) - sentier du littoralPlage du Débarquement (Le Dramont)
Spacious pine-lined beach across from l'Ile d'Or (small island) known to have been the inspiration for Hergé’s Tintin cartoon L’Ile Noire. The name Débarquement (landing beach) reminds us that the allied forces landed here on 15th August 1944 to take part in Operation Dragoon.
Large pebbles along the foreshore may present a little and funny challenge to step off the beach but large diversity of marine life here will delight fans of mask and snorkel once in the water.
